Sex Tourism in Cape Town, yay or nay?
The Fifa Soccer world Cup will be here in under 300 Days. The influx of the “sport tourist“ stereotype means that we can also expect a boom in sex tourism. I do carry the same sentiment as Cape Town Tourism that we should not neither promote nor bar this industry. We all know sex sells, but how do we as Capetonians feel about the sex industry in Cape Town? I’ve recently been to Arabesque, in Burg Street. It’s classy, stylish and fun and totally breaks the negative perceptions many people have about Strip clubs “Gentlemans Clubs”. See my short post on it here.
What if I suggest Robots for the sex industry. Yes, Robots. And not necessarily the battery operated type. REAL Robots. Okay okay maybe not in the near future but check this from Dr Yeoman’s talk:
“Robotics will become important, because you’re going to have labour shortages in the future,” he said…Even robot “prostitutes” that would not pass on diseases such as HIV could make an appearance.”
Dr Yeoman’s talk centered on what the world might be like in 2050. He explained that indoor tourism could be the next big thing due to global warming, an older population, plus food, water and jet fuel problems.
So until the robots arrive, selling Cape Town as a Sex Tourism Destination? Yay or nay?
-A-

Cape town, a port always had sex as an attraction, In the days, weathy slave owners used to meet up with attractive young females around the area where your archive office is, that was THE place if you fancied a bit on the side.
Later on during the Suez crisis when ships from all over the world docked in Table bay,a new breed of prostitute emerged, they were known as “Gentus” and provided work not only for themselves but taxi drivers as well.
What is happening now is that sex workers are arriving from all over the world, some trafficed by gangsters, atracted by the easy pickings from men who have too much money and and spoiled ,lousy in bed, South African women.
Futuristic robots would be a waste of time as there seems to be unlimited supply of the real thing.

Prostitution, Gay or otherwise, should be internationally outlawed.
It is an abomination and destroys both male and female self respect.
It promotes violence against weaker individuals and contributes to the moral degeneration that is destroying the very fiber of our civilization.
