Metro Police “Ghost Squad” at the FIFA Final Draw Long Street Party
When my first post on the Ghost squad was published in July there was lots of speculation into whether they really existed. As countless drivers started getting pulled over by these unmarked Golf GTi’s the realisation that Cape Town now had a “secret” Metropolice squad hunting the dicers sunk in. I was at the Final Draw Party in Long on Friday and guess who I spotted chilling on Loop Street…

While Officer Van der Merve was distracted (I didnt send that guy.. I promise… ) I took this picture.
Notice that other than the Number plate and the hidden lights in the grill this car is totally unmarked.
So expect them to be out in Force during the 2010 WorldCup, seeing as how they recently bought a few Silver Golf 6 GTi’s.
