My current position as Deputy Director: Web Services Programme Manager for the Western Cape Government has brought about a passion within me for e-Government and advocating the enabling role government ICT should play in community development. My Web Services portfolio currently includes Strategic management of the Provincial website, Mobile Apps, Social Media and CRM. While there are essential services that government must provide; I believe government should also be building Information System platforms and infrastructure that enables the private sector to imagine and develop citizen-centric services. This infrastructure should also lay the foundation to ICT access in rural communities, as well as promote increased e-literacy through basic computer training courses. This website also has a portfolio of my work that spans across the e-Learning, e-Marketing and e-Government spheres of ICT
I’m happily married and have a joyful and energetic daughter. These two women mean the world to me, and a lot of what I do is with them in mind. This website aims to give you insight into my thoughts, interests and aspirations while at times offering a little peek into my experiences as I traverse this journey of life.
I hope you enjoy your stay on my site and don’t forget to add me on your favourite social network on the right.
