300 Days to the Fifa Soccer World Cup 2010

It’s a surprisingly quiet in the office (Cape Town Tourism Head Office) today. With 300 days to kick off I really expected there to be some sort of excitement. I have to agree with Shelton, our 2010 marketing officer that we can’t throw a huge activation at every milestone. Especially seeing as how we recently had the 365 (1 year) to kick off Mega Activation. See the awesome video of the fanfare here.

I think the next big activation will most probably be around the Final Draw that happening in Cape Town on the 12th December. City of Cape Town is planning to host a street party in Long street the night before. I’m actually really looking forward to the Final Draw as then we will know exactly which teams will be playing in Cape Town and which Fans to expect.

I’m holding thumbs for the Brazilians… Why?
